lucent
50 bothwell
street
Lucent is the redevelopment of the historic 50 Bothwell Street in the heart of Glasgow’s city centre. The landmark building has been transformed into a contemporary Grade A workplace, combining its retained historic sandstone façade with modern, light-filled office accommodation.
complementing the interior
Norsign worked with Linear Design & Construct to manufacture and install the internal signage, wayfinding and environmental graphics package across the development.
A key element of the signage scheme was the floor identification and directory signage. Large scale level indicators were produced in a combination of digitally printed vinyl and built-up Rosy Gold Rimex numerals, providing clear identification across each level.
These were paired with bespoke level directories manufactured from Valchromat, with graphics and tenant information laser carved into the surface. The natural texture and depth of the material creates a subtle contrast with the Rosy Gold level indicators, while the carved detailing provides a clean, understated finish that complements the overall scheme.

wayfinding & feature signage
The wider signage package included washroom and accessibility signage, stair identification, pictograms and locker numbering. Bespoke door discs were manufactured in Rosy Gold Rimex and satin stainless steel, with contrasting vinyl pictograms.
Glazed areas were treated with a combination of reeded glass effect film and bespoke frosted manifestation, providing privacy while complementing the interior finishes.
Full height digitally printed and laminated wall graphics were produced for areas throughout the building, alongside bespoke copper finish lettering and additional wall-applied graphics.

designed for the space
Each element was designed to sit naturally within Lucent’s interior. The mix of metallic finishes, dark Valchromat, glazing treatments and graphics creates a distinctive signage scheme that feels integrated into the building itself.
