Launceston Primary School (DfE 908/2610) is a modern educational facility designed to provide a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. As part of the wider construction package delivered by Kier Construction, Norsign Group Ltd was appointed to design, manufacture, and install a complete signage package for the school.
design
Our design team worked closely with Kier Construction and the school to create signage solutions that were both compliant and user friendly. Every element of the signage package was carefully planned to ensure consistency, legibility, and alignment with DfE guidance. The signage needed to balance functionality with a friendly, approachable appearance, providing clear wayfinding and compliance, while reinforcing the school’s welcoming ethos.
The signage ensured that entrances, access points, and visitor routes are clearly identified. Designs reflected the school’s branding and colour scheme, providing a professional yet approachable look, appropriate for a primary school setting.
The final signage range covered the full spectrum of needs including building mounted identification, a prominent entrance monolith, external wayfinding, door signs, internal directional signage, braille and tactile signage for accessibility, and fire evacuation signs for statutory compliance.

Following design approval and manufacture, our installation team delivered and fitted the signage package on site. The installation process was carefully coordinated with Kier Construction to ensure smooth integration within the wider programme of works. Attention was paid to safety, precision, and minimal disruption, with our team working efficiently to meet deadlines and quality standards.
The completed installation now provides Launceston Primary School with a clear, welcoming, and fully compliant signage system. From the entrance monolith directing vehicles and pedestrians, to the internal wayfinding and tactile signage supporting accessibility, every element works together to enhance navigation, reinforce security, and project a positive first impression of the school.
