Dumfries High School is a major new education development designed to provide modern teaching, sports and community facilities for pupils, staff and visitors. Working alongside Morgan Sindall, Norsign delivered a comprehensive signage package incorporating internal and external wayfinding, statutory signage, manifestations and building identification to support navigation, accessibility and compliance throughout the campus.

Norsign manufactured a comprehensive signage package covering internal wayfinding, room identification, braille and tactile signs, manifestations and external directional signage. The scheme also included a series of monolith signs, traffic management signage and large scale building mounted lettering, creating a cohesive signage solution throughout the development.
By engaging early with the project team, Norsign supported the development of signage design options, material selections and fixing details to ensure solutions were practical, compliant and aligned with the wider building design. Managing the entire signage package under a single contract simplified coordination, reduced interfaces and helped maintain programme certainty. This approach supported design consistency and delivered a clear, intuitive experience for pupils, staff and visitors.

Accessibility formed a key part of the project, with tactile and braille signage incorporated throughout the building to assist visually impaired users and support inclusive access. Manifestation graphics were also provided to glazed areas to improve safety and meet regulatory requirements.
Working closely with Morgan Sindall, Norsign coordinated development, surveying, manufacture and installation to ensure signage was delivered safely, efficiently and in line with the project programme. This collaborative approach helped minimise disruption on site while ensuring the completed signage package met the functional requirements of this educational environment.
