Directory Signs & Door Signage

Wayfinding in an NHS facility, or other public building, requires directory signs at several stages of the journey through the building.

The main directory signs include an overview of the whole building including all levels, with sub signs (sometimes projecting ‘bus stop signs’ or suspended from the ceiling) providing more detailed wayfinding guidance as a user finds their way to their destination. These sign systems also include door signage at each room, to reassure the visitor that they have reached the right place.

Directories and door signage can be modular with changeable signs (such as the widely-known Spandex Slatz), so that should a department move or other changes take place, the wayfinding system can be updated to reflect this without incurring the cost of completely replacing a directory sign.

Modular wayfinding signs are often a silver anodised finish, but can be powder coated and decorated with vinyl to almost any finish, including photographic quality images.
Simpler flat systems can also be utilised where the wayfinding system doesn’t require updateable directories.

From Door Signs and Wall Plates to Directories and Suspended Signs, our directories and modular systems are extremely versatile.
